Gardarngu Maintenance Services is an Aboriginal-owned grounds maintenance and property maintenance company servicing Roebourne, Wickham and Karratha.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join our team and help deliver high-quality services across residential, community, government and commercial properties.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You will lead a small crew in the field while helping maintain the safety, quality and professionalism that our clients have come to expect from Gardarngu.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will:

  • Lead and mentor a small grounds maintenance crew

  • Complete lawn mowing, brush cutting, pruning and weed management activities

  • Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance requirements

  • Ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard

  • Communicate professionally with clients and community members

  • Complete job records, photos and reporting using company systems

  • Assist with training and onboarding new team members

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is reliable and takes pride in their work

  • Has experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping or property maintenance

  • Has a minimum of 1+ years experience in gardening, landscaping or outdoor labouring

  • Can lead by example and support others to succeed

  • Has strong communication skills

  • Enjoys working outdoors

  • Holds a current driver's licence

  • Has the ability to travel between Roebourne, Wickham and Karratha as required

  • Must be an Australian permanent resident

Desirable

  • Previous experience leading a crew

  • Chemical handling experience

  • Machinery operation experience
